Just wanted to say hi to everyone!  I was banded in Puerto Vallarta Mx on Aug 12, 08.  To date I have lost about 60lbs.  I still have about 60 or so to go.  I go to the gym everyday at lunch for about 30 minutes and work out according to the personal trainer we have at work.  I was weighing every morning and am trying to stop that horrible habit.  It is hard.  I am excited to be part of this group and to know that I am not alone in feeling like even before my year is close I feel the need to "get back on the wagon"  But THANK GOD my band is forgiving!

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

I delivered 6 weeks early a 5lb 15oz lil boy:)  After spending 2 months on bed rest in the hospital and Mason spending 11 days in the NICU, we're both home and doing great!  Mason is getting bigger and gaining weight like he should.  Now it's my turn to lose this weight!  It's tough to get back on the band wagon...I CAN do this!

Welcome Nicole!!  About the scale thing...I have read many articles that say weighing everyday is beneficial.  It helps you know your ebbs and flows and will get you back on track sooner than later.  As long as you don't allow yourself to get obsessed anddepressed about flucuations I think it is okay.
I had lap RNY and so I have a band question...if it was done in Mexico how do you do your fills and adjustments?

Thank you!  That is my prob though if I go up I get bummed if I go down I am extatic!  You see the pattern:)  I am trying to go back to what I used to do and that was to weigh once a week.  We'll see how that goes.

For you question, I go to Fill Centers NW.  They are local here.  An ARNP does our fills and is great.  It was so much more cost effective to do it there.

When I first had my surgery I weighed myself once a week.  Last year I got obsessive about it and then quit altogether (and gained some weight!).  As of yesterday I am down four pounds.  This morning after exercising I was feeling so "sleek", I decided to weigh myself and I was UP FOUR POUNDS!  I'm done.  I'm going to pick one day and weigh on that day only.  My doc and nut concur.

I am right there with ya.  I think I am going to buy a digital scale, then I will know exactly and maybe even less than a pound will be better then seeing what looks like is the same....

I know!  I love OH because no matter what my question is it is always answered.  Maybe not how I want to hear it, but it's an honest answer none the less.
Thank you
Nicole
